ABOUT OUR TEAM
Waistcoat Pictures is an independent production company based in the U.K, born out of a want to create independent films that focus on the stories of women, non-binary, and queer individuals. We reflect these values behind the camera as well, with our crews being made up of entirely women, non-binary, and queer creatives.
With multiple projects currently in pre-production, we are looking for creatives, cast, and crew for upcoming productions. Whether you are highly experienced, professionally trained, or are just starting your filmmaking journey, we encourage anyone to apply so long as they have a strong creative drive, community-minded attitude, and passion to tell unique and meaningful stories through film.
Director
Madelyn Morris is a Director, Writer, Editor, Musician, and Actor based in the UK. They founded Waistcoat Pictures in 2023 after studying at The Oxford School of Drama, and The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. They most recently studied on the Filmmaking Course at NFTS.
Salome Haertel
Associate Producer
Salome Haertel is an American actor based in the UK. She trained at the Oxford School of Drama and recently graduated from the Acting for Stage and Screen BA course at the Bristol School of Acting.
Brooke Grey
Associate Producer
Brooke Grey is an Irish actor based in London. She trained in acting at the Oxford School of Drama before graduating with a degree in Art History from Trinity College Dublin in 2025. She has since been studying at KCL, branching into producing as well as acting.
Kathryn Di Giacinto
Executive Producer
Kathryn Di Giacinto is an independent filmmaker based in the UK. She Produced, Directed & Edited arts & culture shows for the BBC & CNN after heading the The Wexner Center Film & Video Studio with credits including ‘Power Pleasure Desire Disgust’ (Barbara Kruger), ‘Interior/Exterior, Empty/Full’ (Lorna Simpson), and 'The Female Closet' (Barbara Hammer). She studied at Carnegie Mellon University and Ohio State University. Her independent film directing credits include ‘Echo’ & ‘Narcissus’.
